Nova Maple Syrup is a family-produced product from Northwest Pennsylvania, sustainably harvested from our own hardwood forests. This syrup is produced without the use of any chemical or organic herbicides/pesticides. The plastic jug is 100% BPA-free and hot-packed/sealed for safety. It contains no artificial flavors, preservatives, or dyes, and is both gluten and dairy-free.

International Grading System: Nova Maple Syrup utilizes the new International Grading System that took effect in April 2015. All of the syrup we sell is Grade A, with the sub-grades varying based on factors like weather, trees, and the individual season. We offer Grade A Golden Delicate Taste, Amber Rich, Dark Robust, and Very Dark Strong. We do not ship the new Grade B Commercial (formerly Grade C) syrup. Darker syrups have a stronger maple flavor than lighter ones, but both are equally sweet, comprising 67% natural sugar and 33% water. The choice comes down to personal taste preference.

Products We Sell: Syrup: Our core product and the base ingredient for all other confections. We make and sell all four grades in various bottle sizes. Sugar: Maple sugar is an excellent replacement for white sugar, offering an unprocessed sweetener with a subtle maple flavor. Cream: Our maple cream is created by further boiling our syrup and then churning it into a rich spread with a texture similar to natural peanut butter. Despite the name, it contains no dairy. Candy: This melt-in-your-mouth maple candy delicacy is a top-seller during the holidays and sure to delight any sweet tooth.

Our Story: Nova Maple Syrup was established in 2015 with the purchase of a 100-acre property in Hartstown, Pennsylvania. Our inaugural commercial syrup season began in late January 2016 with around 7,500 taps, which has since expanded to 22,500 taps across 275 acres.

This business venture started as a hobby in 2013 on 1.5 acres, tapping 50 trees and collecting sap in plastic bags. That first season yielded 17 gallons of maple syrup, which has grown to over 5,000 gallons in 2019.

The business is named after our dog, Nova, a golden retriever/German shepherd mix. Jake and Hailee Leveto, the founders, gave away glass bottles of maple syrup at their wedding in 2014. Since then, they've grown the business while also starting a family, welcoming two sons in 2017 and 2019.
